What’s Inside Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory

Hi Everyone,

This is the next in the series of “What’s Inside“.

I just got back from the IRIS bi-annual instrumentation meeting and at the end of the conference we got a tour of the Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory. Probably the best if not only seismic instrumentation testing labs. Bob Hutt was our host and what a generous host he was. No question went un-answered no room went un-opened, no secrets un-revealed. We got see the vaults buried in solid rock, we got see the heart of ANMO one of the quietest station in these parts. We got to see the to-be-envied rack of hookup wire. We got to see the monstrous Russian shake tables, with a great story behind them. I took a couple hundred photos but I selected only 15 ….
